As the part of the art workshops, a large joint inscription "Family" and unique images of families made by parents together with children will be created.
Philharmonic of Mieczysław Karłowicz in Szczecin is actively involved in activities aimed at families. That is why on Saturday we will take part in the Family Picnic at Jasne Błonia.
In the Philharmonic's mobile store, you will be able to buy publications addressed to the youngest, as well as see the Philharmonic's offer addressed to the whole families. During the picnic, there will be a 20% discount on all the products purchased in our shop.
The album "And they lived long and in Szczecin"
The album includes sixteen specially composed songs, which with their sound refer to the largest fairy-tale productions of well-known film studios. The album was recorded by the Szczecin Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra with talented young singers, selected by casting. It is entirely devoted to Szczecin and tells about its charms. Charms that its inhabitants may not notice on a daily basis, but tourists admire them – wonderful parks, roundabouts and rivers, the smell of chocolate spreading over the boulevards, the taste of patties. While listening to the songs from the album, you can close your eyes and move to the capital of Western Pomerania. "Freckles of Orion", "Shipyard Zoo", "Chocolate City" or "Not by the Sea" are just some of the titles of these fairy-tale songs.
The album "I lived a long time and in Szczecin II"
The album "I lived long and in Szczecin 2" is the second edition of the most beautiful songs about Szczecin, not only for children. All songs were recorded by the Szczecin Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra with the accompaniment of the rhythm section and talented young singers selected in casting in February 2020.
The themes for new songs about Szczecin were chosen by the city's inhabitants themselves in a plebiscite announced by the Philharmonic. Beautiful, fairytale-like pieces, reminiscent of Hollywood hits of film music, composed and arranged by Mateusz Czarnowski, are valuable, imaginative music for all generations – children, parents and grandparents. The author of all the texts on the album – wise, funny and, above all, inspiring for family tracing the history of Szczecin – is Agata Kolasińska.
The Audiobook Up-Down – To Be Like Karłowicz
The audiobook "Up-down – to be like Karłowicz" is a radio play based on a unique theater production of the Philharmonic in Szczecin. The premiere of the performance took place on the Philharmonic stage in October 2017. Its main character is the patron of the institution – Mieczysław Karłowicz, but in a unique version – his figure is brought closer to the emotions that influenced the life and work of the composer.
"Bon Ton" Comic
The Philharmonic in Szczecin has published an unusual publication – a witty and wise comic book for children. It tells about the adventures of a shipwrecked man who spent so many years on a desert island that he forgot completely how to behave in a civilized world .
The comic book characters were created by Ernesto Gonzales – a talented illustrator and comic book artist. Together with Grzegorz Janusz, the author of the script, they form a creative duo. In the comic we will also find a funny character of the Director, the Lady Who Keeps Everything Going.
Dźwigozaury
The historic cranes have been guarding the Szczecin port for several dozen years, being a characteristic accent for the Odra river landscape. A herd of steel cranes – as Katarzyna Nosowska sang – also became the hero of the song "Shipyard ZOO" from the album "I lived long and in Szczecin" published by the Philharmonic.
Their unusual form, reminiscent of prehistoric creatures, also inspired Magdalena Nadarzyńska, a student of the Academy of Art in Szczecin. This is how the crane-support for books was created – a completely new gift, which will be available at the ticket office and at the Philharmonic store.
Colorful cranes will give any interior a unique and very Szczecin character, and at the same time they will bravely guard home libraries (especially if we complete the entire herd).
