The conductor, the composer, the music popularizer, the publicist and the educator –
Walerian Pawłowski was one of the most popular figures in the musical life of post-war Szczecin.
In 2020, on December 18th to be exact, it was the hundredth anniversary of his birth. On this occasion, the Philharmonic published his last work – a book full of Valerian energy, memories and anecdotes, "The Music Lover’s Guide- the Art of Maestro Valerian Digression", which is also a unique guide of the music world

We have already introduced Walerian Pawłowski to the youngest music fans who do not know him – we played a family concert dedicated to the figure of Walerian Pawłowski. The concert was under the media patronage for which we are very grateful. The concert is still available for free on Philharmonic services:
Facebook and
EduPhilharmonic Szczecin YouTube
"Master Valerian" is a new edition of this concert, dedicated to older music lovers. The material about the life and work of Walerian Pawłowski is told not only by the composer himself, but also by his colleagues and adult music lovers who used to visit the Philharmonic as young students as it was the part of their obligatory school classes. The concert will be intertwined with musical materials and fragments of a documentary about Maestro.
We are more than happy to invite all music lovers for a free premiere of
„Master Valerian’ on Sunday 24th January at 5 p.m for our
YouTube EduPhilharmonic Szczecin and our
Facebook profile
The event is under the patronage of TVP 3 Szczecin oraz Kurier Szczeciński.
