Laureate of the 10th International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw (1980), awarded the Polish Radio Prize for the best performance of mazurkas; she also won laurels at international piano competitions in Vercelli (1977) and Bordeaux (1979).
She has given concerts in almost all European countries, as well as in both Americas, in China, Indonesia, Vietnam, the Republic of South Africa, Singapore, Korea, Japan and Australia. As a soloist, she has performed with the London Symphony Orchestra, the English Chamber Orchestra, the Orchestra del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, the Bayerischer Rundfunkorchester, the Tonkünstler-Orchester Niederösterreich, the New Japan Philharmonic, the Polish Chamber Orchestra, the Sinfonia Varsovia Orchestra, the National Philharmonic Orchestra and the Polish Radio National Symphony Orchestra in Katowice.
The artist has made a number of world premieres and premiere recordings of works by contemporary Polish composers, including Andrzej Panufnik, Witold Lutosławski, Paweł Szymański and Paweł Mykietyn (concerts by the latter two composers were dedicated to her). Ewa Pobłocka's critically acclaimed phonographic output includes over 50 albums, covering solo, chamber and concert repertoire from the baroque to the present day, performed on contemporary and historical instruments from Chopin's era. They have been recorded for Deutsche Grammophon, Pony Canyon, Victor JVC, Conifer Records, Polskie Nagrania "Muza", NIFC, CD Accord and BeArTon. She was the first Polish pianist to record both volumes of Bach's
Das Wohltemperierte Klavier (NIFC 2018, 2023). The album with the first volume was included in the list of the 50 best Bach recordings in history published by the prestigious magazine "Gramophone", and was also awarded by this magazine as the album of the month.
Ewa Pobłocka enjoys performing chamber music. She is also a valued teacher. She teaches piano at the Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz. She has conducted master classes in dozens of countries. She often sits on the jury of international piano competitions, including in Hamamatsu, Tel Aviv, Ettlingen, Calgary and Warsaw. In 2021, she sat on the jury of the International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw for the third time.
The artist also likes to write – she has published her essays in Zeszki Literackie, Kwartalnik Artystyczny Wyspa and Kwartalnik Literacki Bliza, among others. In August 2021, her first book was published –
Forte-piano, published by the publishing house Słowo/obraz tereny. She also hosted shows on Polish Radio Program II devoted to Bach's music:
